Have you been creating your own versions of documents you know other planners must be using (such as RFPs, post-meeting reports, resumes), but you just don’t know where to find useful templates? Well, fear not, there is a collection of excellent documents out there.
It’s called the APEX Meeting and Event Toolbox, and it is software that was created by the Accepted Practices Exchange (APEX), an initiative of the Convention Industry Council (CIC). The Toolbox is a collection of more than 200 event management and business templates, including those developed through APEX as the industry standard.
The Accepted Practices Exchange (APEX) was created by the CIC to gather all stakeholders in the development and implementation of industry-wide accepted practices to create and enhance efficiencies throughout the meetings, conventions and exhibitions industry. One of the first outcomes of their collaboration was the development of the APEX Toolbox.
I use the APEX software, and have found it to be an incredible time saver, and an amazing value. I promise that I don’t get anything from the CIC for recommending the software (there is a cost associated with the software – around $99). I just happen to believe that whenever possible, we should rely on the experience of our peers. This software is a great way to do precisely that.
