Here’s a little event marketing tip.
Buy some Avery business cards, and add your next event’s logo to your your existing card design. Then, when you go to one of the many industry networking events, pass them out! It gets your event’s identity “out there” and identifies you with that event.
This is especially nifty if you plan a bunch of events every year. Your card changes periodically, which gets people looking at it (some people do notice the difference, I promise you!) and makes a nice conversation starter.
I did this out of desperation recently (ran out of company-provided business cards and had to print some at home for a meeting), and it turned out great.
